Lorne is Len's son and grew up at Deerwood as a camper, counselor, trips program coordinator and head counselor.
He received his AB in Psychology from Princeton and a Master's in Education from Harvard.

| Before taking on the year-round camp work, Lorne was a teacher and coach for 11 years in Maryland and Vermont . During the “off-season,” Lorne lives in Waterbury Center, Vermont with his wife, Alex, and their three kids: Jack, Gavin and Louisa. He enjoys hiking in the fall, playing hockey and back-country skiing in the winter, and coaching lacrosse in the spring. |
Peter Thomsen Peter is Tommy's son and grew up at Deerwood as a camper, counselor (skiing) and head counselor. He has been at camp full-time as director since 2001 He received his BA from Williams College and MBA from U. of Chicago. Past jobs have included directing the Bay State Games, Massachusetts Olympic Sport Festival and Teaching graduate and undergraduate Sport Management classes at UMass. |

Outside camp, Peter enjoys snow skiing, cycling, hiking and trail running. Peter lives in Williamstown Mass during the winter with his wife Laurie and children Brian and Julie. |
